The Kensington Farmers' Market

We are so lucky to live only a block and a half from our local farmers market. The Kensington Farmers’ Market happens every Sunday—even in the winter—from 10am to 2pm. There is a ton of local produce, along with many food vendors, a few even have some vegan choices.  You can buy artisan bread as well; my favorite is from As Kneaded Bakery. The Spelt Walnut loaf is my favorite.

But it’s the fruit in the summertime that really is the standout choices for me.  The plums, peaches, apricots, cherries, strawberries and blueberries are the most stunning—both to eat and to stare at.  I think some sort of vegan cherry cobbler is in my future…..
